Poor, Poor Baby!

Yesterday we visited Dr. Bob for Dante's 4 month check up and immunization shots.  He did not like Dr. Bob this time.  As soon as the doctor leaned over him on the weird flat table with the weird crinkly white paper, Dante tensed up and tried to fling himself from the table.  Sobs of trepidation followed.

It didn't get any better when the friendly nurse stabbed his little thighs three times with mean and angry needles...heaving sobs of sadness!  But thank heaven for reliable mother's milk which always offers comfort.

Waiting for Dr. Bob

Doctor says Dante's fear is a sign of intelligence--
He's seen enough faces to know that Dr. Bob
is a little too interesting!

Dante is taller than ever in proportion to his weight...
14 pounds, 10 oz. and 26" long.  That's 88%, when 50% is average.  And his head is extra little ~ just 15%!
He's proportioned like an older kid, I think.

And now the poor baby is sick from his immunization shots!  His first fever: 99.7 degrees.  But he is hanging in there-- the little trooper.

Cooling down.

There.  That's a little better.
