My Morning

Today is wonderful for several reasons, the first of which is that I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little family!  The sun is shining brightly and my backyard is lit up bright green with shadows streaking across it.  The sky is vibrant blue and the edges of all the trees are glowing.  Morning is my favorite time of day-- but especially when the sun is out.  My last reason for being happy about today is that my work load has finally become manageable and I no longer feel the weight of it nagging me at all hours of the day.  It's been a long struggle and we've finally closed the findings shop ~ Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!  Just in time too, 'cause now we have Dante  to fill up all our seconds and minutes.  So this is what my morning looks like:

Feeding baby on the balcony... 

The outdoors is very soothing for Dante.  He can hardly remember why he was crying moments before, the minute the warm sunshine and cool breeze touch his skin.  He is mesmerized by the sound of wind breaking through our tall shelter of trees.

Right now we can hear some distant drilling and sawing machinery droning in the bass.

Over that is the alto voice of our wooden wind chime, with a winged bug or two buzzing nearby.

The cheerful tweeting of birds takes the leading melody in soprano all around us.  It is a wonderful outdoor symphony. 

It is now 12 noon and the laundry still has not been folded...But I have my baby in my arms, and that's what matters!
